Kevin is Co-Artistic Director of Veritas Theatre Company, Artistic Director of KEPOW Theatre Company and a past winner of the Rose Bruford Trust Directors Award. He has directed forty-five plays professionally, including several plays for the British Council in Singapore and numerous other productions in Hong Kong and Dubai. In the summer of 2022, Kevin directed the world premiere of Monster at London’s Park Theatre, which was nominated for three Off-West-End Awards (OFFIES).
For two years, Kevin was the writer-in-residence at the Royal and Derngate Theatre in Northampton. His play Who? was performed upstairs at the Royal Court Theatre in London, having won the Sunday Times Playwright Award. He has also worked with the legendary Keith Johnstone (author of Impro) on – a number of occasions – in Canada, directing several world premieres of Keith’s plays; most notably the highly successful sell out production of Open Season. Over many years, Kevin has been a regular contributor to the work of the National Theatre in London; working as the comedy consultant on the Education Department’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and teaching workshops in the NT Studio.
Kevin’s passion for directing new writing and adapting classics, has led him to direct and teach all over the world, including in: New Zealand, America, South Korea, Malaysia, Norway, Germany, Holland, France, UAE, and Bali, not to mention at many top UK drama schools (LIPA, Central, OSD). His innovative mask and improvisation based shows, meanwhile, have toured to many of the UK’s top theatres including; Shakespeare’s Globe, York Theatre Royal and the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough.
