Veritas Theatre Company

Veritas is a UK based company specialising in challenging and truthful new writing. Set up in 2018, the company strives to create exciting, challenging theatre – based around new British writing talent – exploring socially relevant and challenging topics, from unusual angles. We create theatre that is highly visual and has a sense of the comic, even within the most painful of situations. Our work is rooted in the world of modern 21st Century Britain. We seek to give a voice to new British writers who have something to say about the Britain we live in today. The themes and actions within these new British plays may be highly amusing or highly disturbing, but our productions are always based on a desire to tell the truth as the writer sees it; hence the name of the company; Veritas (the goddess of truth in Roman mythology). Alongside our performances, we organise workshops and discussions to explore the topics raised in our productions.
